We’ve all heard it. “New Year, New Me”, followed by the mile-long list of resolutions that you are determined to keep.

The excitement that surrounds a new year is magical, the opportunity for a fresh start. You can dream up your biggest dreams, and write them down.

But what do you do once the excitement wears off?

Once you’ve gone to the gym twice and are sore.

Once you’ve sat down and read a chapter in a book.

Sometimes once you start out on your goals, it’s exciting. You are your biggest fan, telling yourself that you can do it. But once things get hard, or stale, you are often the first person to give up.

What do you do when the going gets tough? When the sparkle wears off?

  1. Make a dream board – put it somewhere that you see every day. Visualize your dreams and goals.
  2. Before you go to bed every night, tell yourself what you are going to accomplish in the morning.
  3. When morning comes, use your grit to get yourself out of bed and kick those goals ass
  4. Do your personal development. For me it’s incredibly hard to feel motivated, if I am not constantly growing.

I know that sometimes its easier to throw in the towel, to not continue.

But who is going to be happy? You won’t be, you have goals for a reason.

Push yourself, achieve your goals.
