Meal Plan. Organize. Attack.

School is back in session, and fall is approaching, which means schedules tend to get busier. Do you have a plan each week for your meals, do you eat out frequently, or do you just figure it out each night when you get home?

Planning out your lunches and/or dinners every week will help you save money, time, stress, and set you up for healthier eating habits. I recommend every weekend browsing Pinterest or cooking sites and picking out what you will make for meals and snacks during the week.

Then when you go to the store you already know what to get, and you save spending extra money and unnecessary time.

Every Sunday I like to meal prep what I can for the week. I cook our proteins, carb sources, and some of the veggies and put them in portioned containers so lunches are done. I organize the fridge and pantry easy grab and go snacks so there isn’t thought, or time spent thinking, I can just grab it and move on.

If we plan to grill out or make something for family dinner, I have It written on a calendar so I can just look and know what I need to get ready that day. Having things written and organized will keep you on track of using the choices you bought and not wasting food. It also helps take away extra work of thinking of what to do each day.

We eat the same thing for the most part for meals that week and then change it a bit each week to add variety. Find ways that help you succeed. Grab the bags of frozen veggies you can steam in the microwave, grab fruit that doesn’t require prep work, grab portioned out snacks like individual yogurts, protein bars, string cheese, individual bags of nuts, etc. Pick things that make life easier!

Use the crockpot, the instapot, and the air fryer to help save time cooking.

You make time for the things you care about. Meal prep and organization is the easiest way to stay on track with your goals and make your task list in life simpler.

Do you already meal prep? Does this sound overwhelming? Then just start with prepping for a few days or one meal a week. Get organized and save yourself time, money, and better your health! It’s just one step away.

Meal prepping is the new fast food.
