Fitness impacts everything in my life.

When I was in a dark place, fitness was my guiding light. 

Fitness gives me purpose, motivation, energy, and hope.

It allows me to believe in myself. It allows me to push myself. It allows me to guide myself in the direction I want to grow.

Fitness is the way that I learned how to believe in myself. 

The real question is, where do you start? 

I can talk until I am blue in the face about how amazing fitness is and how much it has changed my life. But if you don’t simply take the first steps to start, you will never get there. 

It’s simple, you just go for it. You stop letting your excuses hold you back. You stop saying “maybe tomorrow” or “I’m too busy today”. 

You put on your pants one leg at a time, and that is how you will start your dive into fitness. 

One day at a time

Start by going for a short walk every day, or go to the gym and spend twenty minutes there every day. It doesn’t have to be an hour of heavy working out every single day. You have to start somewhere. 

Once upon a time, going to the gym for twenty minutes was where I started. I have worked my way up to the fitness level that I want to be at. 

Don’t get me wrong, there are some days I wake up and I really don’t want to go to the gym. 

But guess what? I hold myself accountable and I get my ass up and in gear. I know I will thank myself once it is done. 

That’s the key, you will thank yourself when it’s done. You will feel a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Because you did it.
