This season is a time to reflect on how blessed we are and to be thankful for the abundance we live in. It’s also a time to think of others, lend a helping hand, and make a difference in someones life.
It can be a simple smile to a stranger in a store, paying for the coffee for the car behind you, donating presents to a family in need, donating money to someone who is struggling, inviting someone over to share the holidays with. The size of a gesture can be big or small, and both can make a great impacting difference in someones life.
There are so many simple ways to give and make someones day this season.
Make a homemade craft or Christmas card and take them to a nursing or senior living home nearby. Volunteer at a homeless shelter, food pantry, dog shelter, or senior center. Make Christmas care packs and send them to soldiers who are deployed. Take Christmas cookies to first responders working during the Holiday.
Shop for gifts at small businesses and eat out at local food spots.
Grab coffee for your coworkers and tip bigger for service industry’s than maybe you normally would.
Take blankets to an animal shelter nearby. Maybe even volunteer to foster an animal this Holiday Season.
We were born with hearts of kindness, use yours this season and help out. Giving can only help the world become a better place and I promise it will be the best gift you could get this season.
“No one has ever become poor by Giving.” Anne Frank
“At the end of the day its not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished..its about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” Denzel Washington
God Blesses us so we can Bless Others.
