More than ever, it has become harder and harder to live a life for Christ in this world that wants to take Christ out of it. The world wants you to think that way is better… The truth is, the moment you turn away from God, your life will be complicated and unfulfilled.
The world wants to create its own new way of living, and one that says the Christian life is a bad one. Beliefs and standards are becoming blurred as the world says one thing, and the Bible says another. Without Christ, we have no true direction or moral compass. We have nothing to feel convicted by and keep us on the right path. A life with Christ brings peace, and one without brings confusion and destruction. “Know God Know Peace. No God No Peace.”
Kids no longer get to be kids anymore with innocent thoughts of choosing what snack they want, what color backpack to pick out this year, what movie to watch at their sleepover, do they want to swim or bike today, etc etc. They are now burdened by political views of the world and introduced to topics like what gender do they want to like, what gender do they want to be, they can’t be friends with this person because the parents don’t agree with their parent’s views, they must conform to the world to not offend anyone etc etc.
Living a Christian life means you are called to live a life for Christ instead of one of this world, and that is not the popular choice anymore.
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then, you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Philippians 2:1-8
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
God calls us to live a humble life, to think of others and not engage in the controversary of this world. The Bible has outlined a way of living that is prosperous, kind, humble, and fulfilling. The world teaches a life of controversy, confusion, separation, despair, and destruction.
I encourage you to turn to fellowship with Christian friends, get in your bible daily, listen to spirit filled podcasts, pray, sing gospels, etc. Turn towards God in this crazy world and don’t conform. Your life will be filled in better ways than the world can provide.
