They say we start to become like the people we are around the most, we take on characteristics, traits, behaviors, and habits. Think about the people you spend the most time with… do they possess qualities you are okay with mimicking?
There Is a reason going to a gym helps build motivation. Look around, everyone there is motivated to make healthier changes and habits in their life. It doesn’t matter what your specific goal is, if you surround yourself with motivated & driven individuals, they will help keep you on track.
Think about the friends who gossip and how easy it is to get sucked into participating, the people around you have a heavy influence on who you become. Negativity is extremely contagious, if you feel yourself constantly in a negative place after being around someone… it is time to make a change.
Whether its fitness, health, finances, attitude, habits, etc, I strive to live a driven life filled with things that build me up. I don’t want to spend my time in holes of negativity and things that hold me back from moving forward, so I am picky about who gets to have a place in my daily life.
Look at your social media, what are the posts you see the most? Those impact you more than you know. Are there people whose posts aggravate, upset, distract, or leave you feeling down? It’s time to hit that unfollow button. We get one life… who and what vibes do you want to fill it with?
You need people who motivate you when you want to give up, who pick you up when you feel down, who encourage you and believe in you, who show kindness and love… if your current tribe doesn’t possess these qualities then it’s time to make some changes.
