When you avoid your gut/ instinct and seek others for validation, opinions, or guidance you start to lose sight of who you are, what you believe in, and the ability to trust yourself gets hard.

Self confidence is being secure in yourself and your abilities. It’s the guidepost for almost every move you make in life.

There are many ways to improve self confidence. A few simple ways to start:

Positive affirmations and self talk, the more you speak these into the world about yourself and your abilities, the more they start to take on true meaning and belief in your life. The more you tell yourself you got this, or you are beautiful( whatever it is) the more it becomes natural and requires no force, but just true belief behind the words.

Challenge yourself, get out of the comfort zone and into uncomfortable situations. You can’t grow from staying in your comfort where it requires no leap of faith or trust of yourself. Challenging yourself requires stepping out and having to trust that you will be able to tackle whatever comes your way.

Think about the things you have accomplished and the choices you have made that got you to a place you never thought you could. It doesn’t matter how big or small of a win you get it is, they all add up to you trusting yourself, being proud, and therefore more confident.

Choose to believe in you! You are strong, confident, and capable!
